Who we are
This website is operated by The Onyx Polyclinic (trading as Onyx Beauty Clinic & Dental Care), Business Bay, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (“Onyx”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it and how we look after it.
What we collect
- Booking requests – your name, phone number, email (optional), the treatment you are interested in, your preferred date and time, and any notes you add.
- Contact messages – your name, phone number and/or email, and your message.
- Job applications – your name, email, phone number, the position you are interested in, your message and any CV link you share.
- Website usage – when you click a button or link we record which one, the page it was on, where it leads, your device type (mobile, tablet or desktop), the page you came from and a random visit ID. The visit ID is kept in your browser only for the current visit and is not linked to your name.
Please don’t include detailed medical information in website forms. Your clinical information is collected at the clinic during your consultation and kept in our medical records system in line with UAE health regulations.
How we use it
- To respond to your booking request, confirm your appointment and contact you about it.
- To reply to your questions and messages.
- To assess job applications.
- To understand how the website is used so we can improve it.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising profiles. We only send you marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
Your information is only seen by authorised Onyx staff and by service providers who help us run this website, under agreements that require them to protect it:
- Supabase – stores website form submissions and usage records.
- Vercel – hosts the website.
- Resend – delivers booking and enquiry emails.
- Google – the map on our website is provided by Google Maps and our fonts by Google Fonts; Google may receive your IP address and may set its own cookies when the map loads.
Some of these providers process data on servers outside the UAE. Where that happens we rely on their security commitments and contractual safeguards. We may also disclose information where required by law or by a competent authority.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies of its own. It uses your browser’s session storage for the random visit ID described above, which is deleted when you close the tab. Embedded content such as Google Maps may use its own cookies – see Google’s privacy policy for details.
How long we keep it
We keep booking requests, messages and applications only for as long as we need them to deal with your request and for our legitimate business and legal records, and we review and delete records we no longer need. If you become a patient, your clinical records are kept for the period required by UAE health regulations.
Your rights
Under UAE data protection law you can ask us to: give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; or stop sending you marketing. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the UAE Data Office.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and reputable hosting providers to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so please contact us straight away if you think your information has been misused.
Children
Booking requests for anyone under 18 should be made by a parent or guardian.
The Onyx app
If you use the Onyx mobile app, the app’s own privacy notice explains how your account, appointments and rewards information is handled.
